That is why graphic designers, or anyone who has spent time working with and appreciating fonts, will automatically cringe when shown “Myriad Pro” or dare I say it “Comic Sans.”

Typefaces are just as important as the mission statements businesses use to portray themselves, it is a subtle but impactful art form. Partnering itself with your logo, the typeface featured on your website is the second impression that you’re giving off, so make it count. Don’t play with every dingbat you can find and unless you’re in charge of a company that sells balloons you might want to avoid balloon letters, or Curlz MT. You want to find a font that suits your business, spend time searching for the look you want, and don’t just use Times New Roman. Find a font with a personality to match yours while being readable. Most importantly is has to be able to sell your brand.
