Does your business need a rebrand?

With new different trends becoming more and more evident in todays society, it is important to create a brand that won’t become outdated or fall into an unpleasant trend. Sadly many businesses are stuck in both of these situations. A logo isn’t just a small part of a business. It’s the face that fuels the entire brand! Now before I get ahead of myself let me narrow it down a bit further. By helping you see it from a different perspective, perhaps this will inspire you to take a good hard look and your business and reevaluate your brand if need be. A brand is a lot like someone’s personal appearance. When you meet someone for the first time, you begin to form an opinion of them based on the characteristics they have to offer. If they are clean, friendly and well presented etc, you become more receptive to what they have to offer. A brand is no different. Now say for example you meet a man in a suit reading a newspaper. Would your first impression be that he’s a serious businessman? Now take that same man and change his clothes to something more casual and colourful…what would you assume now? Societies stereotypes and expectations play a heavy part in the way that people interpret and perceive things. This is what we do as designers, we use that to sway the thoughts and feelings of the public. So if you want your business to appear serious and professional then perhaps its time to get it dressed up in a metaphorical “suit”. So now the question is…does your business need a rebrand?
